Dont forget to use a 5 point STAR pattern and do the final 100 lb pattern twice The second pass is called a leveling pass in torque speak !!

Can you torque them to 50 lb. and just do it twice...

Or maybe 25 lb & do it 4 times.... See what happens when you get old & have nothing else to think about....

I snug them down first.
Torque them in increments of 50, 80 and finally 100 (100 as stated in the service manual).
Use a cross torque pattern, never torque the adjacent bolt.
Done!

Not yet, so I'll say it. It's 100 Ft/Lbs.

Just torque them to 120 and ask for the change back.

Nothing beats the precision of an impact wrench at tightening lug nuts. The loud 'ting' sound at then end is the stud snapping off. Perfect results every time.

Those are the shops you're not supposed to go to.

Actually it may take a little longer, but the CORRECT way is to set the torque wrench to 50 lb...tighten to 50 lb.. then increase by 10 lb increments ,, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100... it is more fun & you can kill some time that way..

Or as I have done for the past 50 years, use a regular lug wrench, & snug em up tight...

I have not ever had a problem on any car including my race car by just using a lug wrench!!

Anyone here have an incident of losing a wheel that had been tightened BY THEM-SELF using the old fashion lug wrench & just making them tight!

I agree I was just asking a simple question in a sort of joking manner... I just actually ordered a 100 ft lb torque stick for my vette but I will also check the accuracy of that with a torque wrench
