Default Service Active Handling Recall

So today I called in to see if my 05 painted roof needs to be replaced, gave the VIN and the service guy said there are TWO open recalls for me. One indeed was the roof and he said the second recall is a SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING recall. I'm taking it in tomorrow. So all you 05 guys or possible later years may want to call your dealer and ask about the SAH recall. Just thought I'd let y'all now.

UPDATE:

Ok I got my car back the RECALL # is 10118 and they installed a clip.

I have an 05 and not received a recall on the SAH. Was it a TSB maybe?

No Tsb. The guy said there are two recalls one for the roof the other for AH. There is another post on here that another forum guy called and they also told him there is a recall on AH. Call you dealer and give em the vin.

If the active handling issue is now a recall, that would be huge!

I logged on to Mitchell OnDemand and checked for either a recall or a TSB. I did not see any reference to a SAH issue? That said, this could be "hot off the press" and has not yet hit their site.

I will check Mitchell again in the next few days

SSV I have my vette at the Cormier body shop for the top but what dealership did you go to? Cormier is in Long Beach but they have not notified me of anything related to the AH.

Funny that my car was originally sold at Cormier. I'm going in tomorrow to Community Chevy in Burbank.

I was at Cormier earlier today for the Roof recall and the service writer did not mention anything about the AH recall. I'll mention this to him when my roof arrives in 2 weeks from now.

I have heard nothing about this AH recall. All I know is when I hit a hard bump that causes the active handling to engage that's how bad the roads are here. What a shame the bad condition these roads are in.

Just left my dealership. Verified that it is now a recall. But only on vehicles with the tilt/telescoping wheel. Didn't apply to my VIN even though I get the same SAH message. I failed to get the recall campaign #.

The GM rep that has been helping us out on this forum mentioned earlier in the week that this had officially became a recall. GM definitely did the right thing on this one.

There's nothing listed on the NHSTA site as of yet.

I do recall a very very long thread in here about the cars that are affected have tilt telescope steering wheel option.

If they are recalling only the cars with tilt wheel they are missing half of the troubled cars. Please post the recall number

My car is currently in the shop having the new latches put on the new roof panel. Received a call from the service manager asking me if he could do the recall on the "Active Handling System" while he had the car in the shop. Of course I said yes. I have the tilt/telescoping wheel option as well.

I wonder if it's the clip? I purchased a clip and when I tried to install it I found one already installed. I figured the dealer must have done it while it was in for another problem.

Another reason why the Base Vette is superior. J/K
