Can you explain your last sentence, since "old threads" are retained on all forums because they contain...information from its members?

The OP asked the question 6 years ago and is not on the forum since 2011.

He is a Corvette forum editor. Still not sure why he brought it up, though.

He was driving traffic to a link he posted. My opinion the Vendor Spam has taken over the forum and they need to drag up old threads to balance it out. The vendors rule the board.

It also has those very non 3LT looking 'baby' rear brake rotors with no name calipers and although the fronts are large and the calipers have Corvette on them they're not painted. Odd combination....but I'm still a happy guy! I wouldn't want the NAV but not having to get out to lift or drop the top would be nice even though the process takes only a minute.
It sounds like a 3LT to me. In 2006, Nav and a power top were both stand-alone options. The Power top was only available with 3LT.
Also....Up until 2010, 1LT did not include side airbags.

I wouldn't be so critical, he is getting some response to the "old thread." So does that make them ***** too? Just curious.

Vendors pay to support the forum so members can pay to be members if they want to, but they don't have to.

Vendors do have rules they have to follow.

Not all old threads contain "information" provided by members. Believe it or not, some old threads contain questions asked by the original thread author. And sometimes those questions never got answered.

Forum administration has weighed in recently on the revival of old threads:

Going forward, I'd recommend reporting any post to a thread you or someone else spots that has been bumped inappropriately after not being active for a long time. Then the moderators will close it, delete it or let it stand depending on the specific situation.

The LT options changed every year and you are foolish enough to think a 2010 thread is accurate.

There has been a ton of old threads coming back to life lately . I guess as another year comes to the end some of our"Senior Members" are having those "moments" I hear about?

I'm with you billy. I'm not sure what the big deal is about bringing up old threads. Lots of things could change. More and new info come out...etc...etc. But its not just this forum. Every year I ask the same question in the Harley forum simply because no one ever has the answer at that time. I'm thinking maybe someone has found out some new info or something has been invented to fit what I need. But there are still the few that blast people for asking old questions. Kinda makes you wonder why they even acknowledge the thread if they know its old....interesting huh....

The 3LT pkg cost just under $6k in 2013. I only would've like the heated seats from it so it's not worth it. Never used HUD before, the GM Bose & NAV is awful. I purposely bought a 1LT GS in 2013 with non chrome wheels to save another $2k. The car is a weekend warrior & didn't need $8k worth of stuff I don't care for. In return I have a smaller car payment & thousands of dollars extra that can go to a new daily driver.

reviving some old threads are good for people who have just bought a used vet and dont know the difference, y bitch about t. I thought these forums were to spread knowledge and ask questions not a soap box for "I know that already..duh".
