The really cool G-force HUD feature...
Not sure everyone knows this, but the HUD not only shows your G-force through the turns, but keeps it up there for a few seconds so you can see it after you're done with the turn, and can focus on it more safely!
Pretty cool feature if you're driving on curvy roads.
All you do is hit the 'Options' button on the upper left hand side of the dash.
PS: No, not much on RTFM!
btw- has anyone noticed the force where the tires break loose? Should be about 1G, but wondered about first-hand experience.

I got a 1.06 recently and the tires *barely* broke lose...i could not believe it. I think its how I approached the turn that got such a high number. My previous record was 0.99.
This is a Z51 6-speed Convertible.

Tires broke loose, and would have bet my life I was going to end up in the guard rail with $4k in damage, but the car recovered...wouldn't have had time to see the G-force, but it obviously would have been too high.

Remember though that as the tires break loose, the G-force will drop, so a turn where you lose it may or may not actually show a higher G number on the display.

Good point, but after thinking about it for a few seconds, trust me, the last thing I'd be doing is wondering what my G-force if the car's skidding!

There is also a way to recall your highest g reading for a drive cycle before you shut it down.

Damn, another thing I just learned. Guess you're not gonna make it easy ,...so I'll have to RTFM!

There are very accurate sensors that provide info for the Active Handling system among other things. It's really easy to just pull that info from the computer system and display it.

And it doesn't continue to display "for a few seconds". It is fairly instantaneous all the time. You can recall the highest since the car was last started by holding the Page button which is the second one down on the left.
