Help with 2008 option GU2
Hi all,
Did all Automatic transmissions come with the GU2 in 2008? The build sheet and the window sticker for my car makes it look like an option. I am the second owner and was wondering if it really was just normal for all autos. The statement I found below implies that the Std trans is the only one with a different rear end.
(GU2) 2.73 rear axle ratio, performance, limited-slip (Coupe and Convertible only with [MX0] automatic transmission; Included with Z51)
Thanks,
Terry

GU2 was a stand alone option in 2008-2009 C6 A6's. It also came standard if you selected the Z51 option.
In 2010 the GU2 (2.73) was no longer a stand alone option. However, it came standard in the GS A6.

The automatic transmission was an option and it came with the 2.56 rear axle ratio (GM8). An additional stand alone option was the GU2 2.73 rear axle ratio, which automatically came with the Z51 option package.

I was unsure if the 2.56 came std in the 2008 auto. Not that it will make much difference, but it is good to know that it was an option on the car. Thanks, for your replies.
