Default XM Radio Promotion

I just bought my car and decided to call XM for a trial. They have a special promotion now. Must call and ask to receive:

All channels, for 5 months only $20, no activation fee....

I do apoligize if this is posted in the wrong topic....

I'm a month into my trial and they called me last night to get the 5 months for $20 deal. I have XM on my other two vehicles and am getting a little bored with the programming and poor sound quality, so I'm not sure whether I'll continue my subscription. The commercials on channels that never had them before is getting to me also...

Is there any way for me to find out how much longer my car will receive XM? I just bought the car three weeks ago and it has the full XM package. My guess is that the previous owner paid for an XM subscription but I'm not sure. I don't want to call XM up and ask them for fear they'll shut my reception off. Any suggestions?

Default Xm

We live in WA and XM constantly cuts out when driving down forested roads. I have stopped using XM because there are several good FM stations locally that do not bombard you with advertising not saying XM does.

Just don't give em your CC number or you'll be listening to XM for life plus 10 while you fight to get them to stop adding to your subscription. And you'll curse the day you spent $20.00 for the 5 month trial period. Insist on a paper bill you can pay for by check or money order.

Run from XM

Use the money to buy some CD's or MP3's. Invest in an MPs player before even talking with XM.

Google XM for problems. You can thank me anytime.

It amazes me why so many still fall for the XM trap. After all, all you need is a smart phone and there are dozens of *free* stream services available that have better quality, less hassles & no deceptive billing practices because they're FREE!

For those with older vettes without bluetooth capabilities, you can very easily install a wired connection offered by CF member Ray Kawal (website.)
