Default What are the best wheels for c6

The first thing I want to do is get some nice wheels for my c6 , I want something that won't sacrifice ride quality but also looks good on the car. I was thinking 360 forged, modular concept, or HRE. I would appreciate it if you guys can help me out on this.
Thanks

The best wheels for YOUR C6 are the ones you like the best on your car.

ANY of the ones you mentioned would be good wheels but if I had to guess I would say that money being no object, HRE's are great wheels.

I would think that ride quality would probably be more affected by your TIRE choice.

Impossible to answer. Maybe the best are the factory wheels -designed & manufactured for your car. Like asking what is the best tire for the C6 -many different opinions. Good luck w this question.

Throw CCW in there too. For being a one piece forged wheel, you cant beat the price and there customer service is top notch.

I like HRE and 360 the most (since there in my city) . My only concern it the whole ride quality, that's the only thing that's got me confused about what rims to choose

I love the Z06 split spokes. Look better than aftermarket to me. Still keep that "Corvette" look and no bling.

Rims will not dictate your ride quality, its the tire choice and suspension. Now depending on rim size only a small number of tire options are available.

Thanks for clearing up the ride quality thing for me. I thought it also depended on the rims ( sorry I'm kind of new to this) lol

Aftermarket rims are not perfect all time though, esp reproduction wheels. Whatever you choose make sure they are not "out of round" and are hubcentric before you mount a tire on them. Also make sure you get a compatible offset for a big brake kit if you want one later. Even if you find the perfect wheels, tires and suspension are key. Runflats are the worse for comfort but a nice piece of mind. Non runflat tires of choice have been Nittos, Hankooks, Toyos, and Continental is now making an appearance. As far as runflats go the popular choices have been the Firestones and Michelins.

If you want to stay close to a factory style, Spiders are about the best looking "factory style" out there.

If your looking for a "aftermarket look" you should go with what you like the best. Because your the one that will be driving the car. Just do a little research and see what you like the best.

There are no "best" wheels per se. Personally, I'm a fan of CCW wheels. They make a quality made in the USA product at a reasonable price. They also provide excellent customer service. I've got CCW wheels for the street and for the track and I'm extremely pleased with them. HRE wheels are certainly highly regarded (albeit extremely expensive). I'd start window shopping with some respected brands and find a few styles that you like...narrow your selection down from there. Good luck.

Good question. I've been trying to decide what I like best for nearly 2 years.
I returned one aftermarket set already. (yes, I'm a little nuts)

Cray Manta wheels with Nitto Invo tires.....but as several have posted, it's all personal preference. Just go with a recognized manufacturer so that you don't have any mounting or balancing problems.

I was a fan of the factory C6898 wheels at first sight (the car came with them). They look great on blade silver........ "Classy Look", they work for me, and the ride is very smooth! Sorry for the pics, just a new proud owner!!

I love the 15 spoke wheels that were part of the GSA option ( I think that was what it was called) in '09. As soon as I saw them, I had to have them. They are dropped shipped to the dealer but I think you can order them after market as well.

I noticed them in the Corvette brochure I believe, but then saw them on a yellow vert. I quickly bought the car.
