Default Replacing Fob Battery Question

If i replace the battery in the Fob should it work again without having to be reprogramed ?

You don't need to reprogram it. It will work fine.

No need to reprogram, but make sure you use a quality battery (I use Everready) and be sure to note which side is "up" when you replace it. I put mine in upside down and swore a mighty blue streak until I figured out my mistake.

Positive side of the battery goes down when the part of the fob that holds the battery is laying face up.

I recently replaced my batteries and didn't need to re-program. As already mentioned, some guy's report having proper contact problem's using batteries with etched pattern surfaces such as Ray-O-Vac's. Energizer's seem to work fine. Also, these thing's are a bear to close. I find laying the fob on the floor, and stepping on it work's well.

I think the Duracell is CR 2032 . . .

and yeah, it's a bear to pry open and get closed - - you'll swear you're gonna break it . . . .

yup, I cracked the first one. I read somwhere on the Forum that a coin would work. I tried to no avail. Finally had success with an optical screw driver.
