Ambient/Ambiance Visor Light Wiring ?
I would like to install a visor ambient light in my mid year '08. I've already verified the provisions for the light assembly are not present. So, where is a good place to source accessory power from. I could care less if the light remains on full time when the car is powered.
The easy solution would be to tap into the visor vanity light, unfortunately its full time hot and not on a delay timer. = dead battery.
Suggestions?
Thanks...

Remove the two visor clips and the windshield header trim will practically fall off.
Then you should be able to locate the connector on the passenger side for the light.
You can order the visor clip with the light from Gene Culley (GMPartsHouse) and it's plug and play.
You can install a different colored LED (Radio Shack has suitable replacements) if you want something more complimentary to your interior.

It might be hidden/tucked in above the harness near the bracket/post for the visor.
Try a Search, I know there have been posts from Members who have installed these in their '08's and newer..
Did a quick search. The light was discontinued in late '08, so you should have the wiring.

Come to think of it...aren't all the fuses in the foot-well always hot? I need something that will only be hot when the accessories or engine is on.
Edit: HVAC circuit is only powered when the ignition is on...
