2005 w/ Bose and SOCGM-17C Only Chimes
Hi guys,
First time poster but I've been lurking for a while. I just got a new stereo receiver installed (Sony xav-ax100) in my 2005 with Bose amp, no onstar or wheel controls and everything seems to be working fine. The only problem I'm having is that every action causes the warning chime to go off. I used to get beeps when locking/unlocking the car or toggling the info on the driver information console and even those actions cause chimes now. Is this normal or is there a chance it wasn't wired properly? I didn't do the install myself so I'm wondering if I should bother the car audio shop I went to or not.
Thanks!

Hmmmm... I bought it from Crutchfield and that was the recommended harness for my cars setup (Bose, no On-Star, no wheel controls) along with the receiver I selected. I called Crutchfield's tech support and they suspected that the harness only had one sound. I've seen others have used the SOCGM-17 which I believe was replaced with the SOCGM-17C. There's no way faulty wiring could cause this, right?
I came across this thread and suspect that some harnesses provide a little more than others: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-my-beeps.html
