If a small, forked pry tool might damage the surface, try wrapping some fishing line around the head of the push-pin and pull. It will often be enough to pull the pin out or raise it high enough so you can get a pry tool behind the head without damaging the surface.

I have also had many people order them from me. If you're looking for the factory replacements let me know and I'll be happy to help.

I purchased a Sears 3-piece Push-Pin Plier set - $34.99 - Page 71 item "X".
Used them when I removed the panels for flood light replacement, Not really
cheap, but man do they work great on both types (center push pin and Christmans tree)of the fasteners used so frequently on todays cars ... If you tear up many of the fasteners through the years they will pay for themselves, plus there are so many different ones, it's sure nice to be able to re-use the ones already installed without having to run down to the dealer of NAPA store to look for replacements. (and hope they have what you need).

If you can locate the exact replacement trim retainer pins, I will order them from you.
I went to my local Chevy dealer last week with one of the panels that the retainer pin goes in. The guy at the parts counter pulled up many parts drawings and could not find the retainer pins.
