Default How do I know if I have light sensitive side mirrors?

I want to replace the glass on my mirrors as they are scratched pretty fierce, but looking at the parts, there is light sensitive glass, and the glass without. How can I confirm I'm ordering the right part?

I think all vettes do but look at your rear view. If you have a compass and home link you have the dimmer.

could I use the non-light sensitive glass replacement on these mirrors anyway? I don't see why not? Same dimensions.

are they both light sensitive ?? (meaning left and right) :o
I have only the drivers side on the 2010, but I recall having both on the 08 (or may be my imagination)

Only the driver's side outside mirror is light sensitive.

If you have an on/off switch on the rearview mirror, next to a green LED on the bottom edge of the mirror, then you have the auto dimming mirrors (as stated above, it's just the drivers side + the rearview).

I don't have any of these features I don't believe, the car is an 06. Is there a RPO code that would designate this though?

Just finished reading the standard equipment on a 2010,
"Mirrors, outside heated power-Adjusted auto-dimming, body color"
it should have both, looks like I need a trip to the dealer cause I only have the driver's side working !

The only way you have it on an '06 is if you have the 3LT package - it's bundled in with the other stuff like heated seats, memory package, etc. So, if you have those other options you have the auto mirror. They may have made it standard later, but I know for a fact that through '07 it was only included as part of 3LT.

Bluman,

I have a 2010 and only my driver's side outside mirror dims. I believe that is correct too.

How the heck did they get scratched?
Mine always get water spots, but no scratches.
I want to know what to avoid!
