Default Window Valet problem

I have an issue with my power windows. I have a window valet installed and it was working great. I disconnected my battery the other day while I was working on my seats and did not think to remove the window valet. When I reconnceted the battery terminals the window Valet would not work. I then noticed that my power windows dont close up tight when I close the door with the top up. The windows work fine otherwise. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

DJ

Oh, oh, I get to answer first. You need to re-index your windows. See your owners manual on how to do this. It is something like raise your windows and hold the button up for 3 seconds, release and hold the buttons up again for 3 seconds. Has nothing to do with your window valet.

Unplug the window valet first, then re-index...then after they work right, plug the window valet back in.

Page 87 in your owner's manual.

I've actually re-indexed the windows (after disconnecting the battery) without removing the Window Valet and it works fine. It only takes a second to try, if it doesn't work for you then you can try the cclive method.
