Which is the best DVD / CD Service Manual?
I have been looking at a few sites for the DVD / CD Based Service manuals for my 09 C6 and noticed there were a couple different ones. Anybody have any idea which is the best one to buy?

The paper edition! Any DVD manual you find on the internet is likely to be bootleg and could mess with the configuration of your PC. It ain't worth it; just buy the paper manuals from one of the supporting vendors on this forum.

Helm Manual on DVD, it's what dealerships use. This is from the company that publishes the service manual and they have a DVD version (that isn't pirated).
This is what I use and it is well worth the investment if you are planning on keeping your car and doing any level of work on it yourself.

About a year ago i bought one on the internet. It is somewhat different from the printed version but seems about equal in usefulness.
Downloaded into my laptop, after a while it disabled my DVD drive but the manual was still usable. When I took the laptop into Best Buy, they said my particular brand of DVD drive was subject to being disabled by a lot of programs, and the manual was only one of many. They reset it and told me to avoid any updates from itunes. So far, ok.

The $14-$30 version from EBay is an illegal reproduction. There, there is my answer to the question. NO ONE makes a legitimate, legal service manual on CD or DVD for $14. The question that the OP asked was which is the best DVD version of the service manual. My answer remains, the best version of the service manual is the Helm DVD which is what is licensed by GM and in use by GM service departments.

Also if you don't think you'll ever use 400.00 worth of manual you can go to the AC/Delco site and "Rent" the online eSi manual for 20.00 for 3 days. This is where the GM service shop is plugged into. Each time I need it I just do a lot of cut and pasting while I am there. One day I'll probably end up with a stack of paper.
Can't someone answer the question? I did. The question asked was:
