not talking about the bezel around the radio (front side of the console lid).. The console base that is behind the console lid..(elbow area) between/behind the seat area is the 1 I am thinking about changing... Thanks!

Oh, to be honest I hardly ever notice that. I can't even remember what mine looks like.

I only replaced the console cover. At the time, the base was not an option yet. I'm still very happy with the cover only. I'm lucky in that I have one of those dinosaurs (you know, a 2005) that still has the console lock on the drivers side. If I swap my base at this point I'd loose it unless I wanted to send mine in to be re-covered.

Not too bad. I have taken my center console out several times so I'm starting to get the hang of it. I had to do it when I changed to the MGW shifter.
There are some detailed instructions on here about taking the center console surround piece out.
The hardest part is disconnecting and reconnecting some of the electrical connectors (emergency flashers, cigarette lighter, F55 control) but it's not bad once you learn how to do it.
DSV has some PDF files for changing the ebrake handle and boot, as well as the shifter boot.
My biggest problem was the DSV ebrake handle opening for the button was a little too small. I had to 'work' it a little to get the button to fit easily but I got it working just fine.

Just ordered the matching DSV console base in Ebony and lt. titanium to match my console lid. I took advatage of the Sale prices they recently had, which was 300$ with my base which I sent in.
I love the way the stitching flows from the lid to the base. It looks like it's meant to be that way. It doesn't look no where near as nice with that cheap looking plastic base and a beautiful custom leather lid. Looks like it's out of place alone. While I was at it spending my $$$ I also decided to do the Console bezel which I upgraded to 08 C/f bezel but hated the cheap looking GM leather that surrounds it. So needless to say they are doing my radio bezel in ebony on top to match the dash and lt. titanium coming down to blend in to the lower console area. All said in done this was an expensive weekend for me! I will post pics when all said and done.

I had the C6 emblem on my 08 C6 and hated it. It was right where my elbow sits and would get dirty pretty easy. I bought one without the emblem for my 10 C6 and am much happier.

I take it the console lid was a piece of cake...I looked at it in my car and I can't imagine that being hard.
Thanks!

I replaced only the lid but after seeing their work first hand and feeling the material, I want to have the base, shifter, both boots and ebrake handle all done. Hell, I love their materials so much i'm thinking of having a jogging suit made. Lol!! Seriously, the console lid has become one of my favorite mods so far.
