Default '08 w/long tube headers, exhaust ?

I have a 2008 coupe with a manual transmission. The mods I have are Kooks long tube headers with high flow cats and a CAI. It has been tuned for these mods.

I would like to get an aftermarket exhaust but have not because I do not want drone at cruising speeds.

I would appreciate input from anyone about what my options are with these mods.

thanks

what kind of sound do you want? more exotic sound or muscle.
corsa=exotic...
NPP=exotic
B&B= muscle
Borla=muscle

I was a muscle car sound guy with my 04 cobra but the more exotic sound of my NPP exhaust is growing on me.

There are more just go to youtube and find one you like...

If you don't want drone, then I think your only options are bi-mode mufflers like the NPP system or similar, and Corsa.

B&B Bullets- A lot of drone
Borla Stingers- Little
Corsa Extreme- Minimal, if any
Corsa Sport- None

The Corsa Sport exhaust may have a bit of a 'Euro' or "exotic" sound on a stock C6 but modifications can change that dramatically. With my engine and long tube headers there's nothing exotic sounding coming-through the Corsa Sport exhaust...it's all muscle car! I'm sure others with a setup similar to yours will jump-in but rest assured the headers will have a huge impact on how the Corsa Sport exhaust sounds. IMO the Corsa Sport exhaust is drone-free. You might be able to generate drone lugging severely in 6th gear but with 'normal' driving it doesn't happen.

NPP with headers is very cool, and with a pair of tiny collars from nakidparts, you can even adjust the "quiet" setting to your liking. Then spend $15 on a switch and about 45 minutes time, and be able to open and close it with a toe-tap at the dead pedal.

That's the best.

with Wayne, my Sports changed from a higher toned exotic to a muscle car deep throaty sound with headers. I love it, and the best part, still no drone.

Default Billy Boat Axel Back C6 PRT

The new C6 PRT axel back was developed for the new paddle shift cars that keep the RPM relatively low at cruise. We got the deep tone we were after with little to no drone.

When headers and hi-flow cats are added the exhaust will get slightly more aggressive. The best part-

still little to no drone w/ a deep muscle car sound due to two stages of packing.

Please let me know if I can help further.

If the 08 has the NPP option, the simple and obvious choice the Billy Boat "Fusion".

It is the ultimate his/hers exhaust, or the best of both worlds. Check out www.bbexhaust.com for the video. The "Fusion" was designed to be what the factory NPP always wished it could be.

It definately takes the worry out of choosing the wrong exhaust. There is a "retro" vacuum kit for those with out NPP also.

Thank you. Mike Boat mike@bbexhaust.com
