I thought about one but with my Pioneer 920BT by the time it finishes "booting" up I would have already backed up and on my way. It takes about 10 seconds to boot up. I personally think its a huge waste of money. I still for the life of me can't understand why you need a backup camera in a Corvette. Not like the Vette is the size of a Suburban. You guys must have run out of other things to do to the car.

The actual amount of hours a mechanic works on your car does not have anything to do with billable hours. Let's assume that a mechanic is doing a job for the first time. It may take him 5 hours to do the job. After repeating the same job over and over the mechanic gets more proficient and faster. Now the same job takes the mechanic only 3 hours to complete. Mechanics make their money based on billable hours. Should the mechanic be penalized for doing the job faster? No. In fact, many shops give their mechanic bonuses for completing a job faster. If the mechanic can't make more money by doing a job faster, he has no motivation to do more cars in a day for the same amount of money. Billable hours are based on how long it should take a professional mechanic do to the job if they had never done it before. Make sense?
