Default Removing tail light blackout covers

I need help, I'm trying to install my newly purchased zr1 spoiler but I have the blackout covers and the torx screw won't clear them, I'm trying to remove them but they are really stuck on there. I'm afraid to pry to hard and crack them. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Pull them off one at a time. Concentrate the heat on the adhesive strips, then carefully pull them off.

Finally got it, thank you all. Some people say this job takes about 30 min. It took me 2 and half hours.

They sold me the wrong 2 sided tape at Lowes, they sold me white tape that is for indoors only, they may not have what I need. Any idea where I can get the right one, I think it's called VHB tape, it specifies, heavy duty, clear tape, outdoors. Lowes and Home Depot seem to sell stuff for indoors.

Just noticed this morning, after installing the spoiler, it seems like it came up just a little bit on the most right side. I tried tightening the screw a bit more bit it's as tight as I can get it. Anybody has an idea why this would happen, did I put in on wrong, should I take off and do again?

I had to elongate the right hole toward the left slightly to get the spoiler to set down evenly. Don't know if your problem is the same as mine.

WalMart hardware dept, “Scotch 3M VHB heavy duty clear mounting tape #4010T” (1” x 60”) $3.52. It’s 20 mil and works perfectly for blackouts.

I have heard this a few times, it is the outer hole, as mentioned above, the hole just needs to be reamed out a wee bit.
