New tires for 2007 Z06 - HELP!
Thinking of getting new tires from Tirerack for my 2007 Z06 but not sure if I should stick with my factory tires or go in another direction.
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

IMO, just about anything is better than the GY Runflats.
Do you want to stick with a Runflat tire? If so the Bridgestones have been getting good reviews... if not the Nitto Invo also gets good reviews for the most part.
Too bad they don't make the General Exclaims anymore. Great street tire for the money., that's what I ended up going with.
Do a search in the Z06 section, there are a couple very extensive threads on tires over there.
Here is one

I have 2 sets of Nitto tires for mine
Invos and NT-05's
The Invo's are a good street tire with good tread design for wet & dry driving and with a decent tire wear rating.
The NT-05 is a softer compound and not as much of a wet tread design (nice for performance and handling in warm, dry weather)
Nitto's are NOT available as far as I know from Tire Rack but are from Discount Tire......... When I bought them about a year ago they were about $1150/set delivered to my house. You can also have them delivered to your local tire shop.
NEITHER of these are runflats.

I just put on the General Exclaims on the back(second set, fronts still good) got em at tire-easy.com they still have some. got 30,000 out of the rears, and still a lot of miles left on the fronts! I Love these tires! I have Z06 sizes on my C6 (wide booty)!

yes you can get any tire and it will be better than the GY's.... I have Pirelli's on mine and they rock, but way expensive. Firestone Firehawks are cool too. Those are not runflats though, haven't used runflats in a few years...ride and handling much better.

Michelins are hard to beat with any of their tires. I don't know if the 2nd Gen of GYs are any better than the first year but I have not owned a GY tire I liked yet.
