Default Bottoming Out entering or leaving a driveway

Does anyone have any suggestions or gimmicks to avoid bottoming out entering a driveway with a city installed rain trough, either driving straight in or backing in? Short of putting ramps across the trough. These troughs are used in many neighborhoods developed in the last 30 years.

I know, sounds like a stupid question.

SLOW WAY DOWN!
...and approach from as steep an angle as you can.

Try approaching at an oblique angle... works for me on speed bumps and driveways

By bottoming out do you mean scraping the air dam or the frame of the car. If I enter my driveway straight on I scrape the air dam so, I enter at an angle.

Scraping the air dam is common thus why the pieces (3 sections) are replaceable... but approaching things at an angle will take care of most scraps

I agree with the rest...much of that scrapping can be avoided by slowing down and/or entering at an angle. Basically if you can get one of the front tires climbing the incline a bit first, it will in turn raise the car a bit before the air dam gets to the obstacle. My driveway scrapes most every day though, I still don't see any damage.....it's the air dam underneath, not the bumper.

Normal occurrence as noted in the C6 manual. Yes it is a troublesome experience for the new owner.

Very common issue, just know you are not hurting anything.

I have the same problem. Very steep drive.
Had problems with my Porsche 911 and currently have problems with my Z06.
Going at the incline at an angle works very well. I hear the rubber air dam scrape a little, but no fiberglas or carbon fiber scrape.

But it is forgotten quickly now, by the time I finish shaking my head.

And I replace the flexible air dam about annually.

I installed these because I have a very steep curb due to being at the bottom of a him on a cul-de-sac. Great product no more scrapes. Not even for the air damn.

My C6 is lowered front and rear, and approaching slowly at angle alleviates most, but not all, scraping.

One other interesting note. I actually scape less (lowered) running Michelin A/S ZP tires than I did running the Goodyear tires (not lowered).
I do run the same tire pressure - 30 psi cold.
