Help with oil pan.. U better check too...
Took my 06 LS2 to get serviced today at my friends service center. He came out of the pit and said my oil pan was covered in oil but there were no lraks anywhere. I looked and everything was dry behinf the pan. Gasket was good as well as the oil filter. He said it look as if the stainless oil pan just seeps oil through it. Has anyone heard of this or have this problem? the who;e pan was evenly coated with oil. I run Mobil 1 synthetic. Let me hear your thoughts...

Somewhat common. Probably not anything to worry about but some dealers have replaced the pans under warranty, not sure it was/is necessary but hasn't happened to mine yet. Here's just one thread to look at:

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
My 07's pan had a leak for a while but there was no dripping - after a further year or so it finally developed into a leak - dealer fixed it under powertrain warranty by changing the oil pan gasket. FYI, it was five hours of labour.

Slight porosity around the edge of the pan is not unheard of. There is a bulletin out about it. And the pan is cast aluminum not stainless. Imperfect casting technique is what can cause the porosity.
