A6 Shifter

I have not had your problem but he is mine: On two occasions at the gas pump in my 07 coupe I have been unable to get into Park, only Drive and Neutral. The only way I could get it to work was to just keep moving it back & forth until it came free. Not a comfortable feeling. Any ideas on this?
