If you don't see a difference you should buy a narrow body and save yourself the money. And you can use the search button for pics just as well as we can.

Sometimes its amazing that someone would waste their time and actually post, to contribute NOTHING of worth to the thread

Well he has a point.

There are a plethora of pics of Z06s, Grand Sports and base C6s not only on this forum but on the web as well.

Fatter tires, wheel well flairs and different front fenders are the main differences, along with a different front fascia (with a vent and an air splitter).

That help?

No such thing as a "narrow body" Corvette.

Ok, here's a couple shots of my C6, which has the widebody rear only (at least in this photo).

Now compare the rear quarter panels and wheel well flairs to a non- widebody rear:

Big difference (not to mention the widebody has an inch more rubber on the road!)

How many people here do you think have side by side pics of both style cars? What % of members even saw your thread in the span of three hours when you brought it up again?

Got to agree with you. I was sold on GS but actually saw a coupe the other day. I think it looks a bit "cleaner". I too cannot find side by side shots. YupCorvette site has pics but not side by side. Re: search. Give the guy a break. If suggested to use search and not waste the time of other members I suppose half of the posts here would be useless. On other sites as well. One search and all is clear?

Just help the guy out. I have probably posted more new threads on this forum with repetitive questions over the last couple of weeks than anybody else in the history of the internet. Just trying to get educated and make a wise choice. He is in the same boat.

Dont want to help. Fine, go for a drive. Want to help? Better still. Post a link, than go for a drive.

I think we are confusing this Member.

Blackbull FYI

ALL Z06 and Grandsport Corvettes are "wide-body" - they have the exact same wider front and raer fenders as well as a different nose.

Base C6 Corvettes are a "narrow body" - they do not have flared fenders and have a different nose than that on the Z06 and GS..

Hope that clears it up for you....

Correction, all ZR1, Z06 and Grand Sport models have "wide" bodies, therefore the original C6 model is now refered to as the "base" or "narrow" bodied Vette. The average person can't tell any of them apart because the differences between them in apperance is really quite small, and of importance to only some Corvette owners. It's kind of like years ago some Buicks had three portholes in their fenders and some had four. Big deal!

No such thing as a "narrow body" or a "base" Corvette.

Even Chevrolet refers to their non-inflated price Corvette models as "base" models, and certainly most on this Forum do, so what are you trying to prove?

Actually this is incorrect. Chevrolet identifies their Corvette models as follows.

Corvette Coupe
Corvette Convertible
Corvette Grand Sport Coupe
Corvette Grand Sport Convertible
Corvette Z06
Corvette ZR1
