Back as a Vette owner
On Saturday I took delivery of a 4LT Corvette Grand Sport. Brief background -- I owned a brand new C6 back in 2005 and a brand new C6Z06 in 2007. Since that time I did the Porsche thing (CaymanS, 996TT and 997S) and BMW thing (E60M5, 335 coupe and 335 sedan). They were all very nice cars but none stirred my soul like the Vette.
This past December I sold the 335 sedan and had just been driving my 4Runner and giving deep thought about what I wanted to get for a weekend fun car. I looked at the E92 BMW M3 and just found the car to be way too pedestrian from an appearance standpoint (looks like any other 3 series) and pretty gutless down low (no low end torque but does have a nice upper range with a sweet exhaust note). Looked at the GT-R (a 2010) and found it to be a damn fast car with tremendous grip but really on the boring side (especially for a weekend fun car). While looking at these two, the Vette was always in the picture as well. I wanted something that my wife would have an interest in driving as well. She was terrified of my Z06 so that was out of the picture and left the Grand Sport as the logical choice.
Put about 80 miles on it over the weekend and I can't wipe the **** eating grin off my face. Simply a fantastic car and, IMO, unbeatbale in it's price range for the "fun factor".
I want to give forum member Mike Furman (MONTVALEGOLF) a huge thank you for his tremendous help, service and friendship during the entire process. He helped me in so many ways (from options, color selections, F55 or no F55, NPP or no NPP, et al). I ordered this car on March 7th and it was on Criswell's lot on April 15th and in my garage on April 16th. It was, without question, the best buying experience I've ever had. I know there are some fantastic dealers on this very forum but I can't see how you can possibly get any better service than what I received from Mike Furman. If you are thinking about a new Vette, I would not think twice about giving Mike a call/PM. You will not be disappointed....in service or price.
Here is the new pride and joy. Boring driveway shots until I locate a cool setting for a shoot.

my pleasure
Scott,
The fun has just begun. After selling Corvette's for 33 years it doesn't get old helping Corvette people buy Corvette's. It certainly was my pleasure to assist you with getting a Corvette back in your life. You ordered a beauty. Please stay in touch. You took some great pics of the GS! Congrats again.
