Default *****((PICS/HOW TO)) Rear ZR1 widebody install here in CT *****

INSTALLATIONS available here in CT, or I will drive anywhere in the NORTHEAST(call for quote)

ORLANDO/Cocoa Beach FL location also available for C6 WB upgrades

I also travel to FLORIDA 6-8 times per year..............

I drove out to 'cthusker's' shop in western CT yesterday afternoon to help out with the rear WB install

ZR1, Z06, and GrandSport's from GM all use the same rear quarter, these quarters were supplied from RPI

Removal of OEM panels will take about an hour, Torx T15's along front and top, remove the T15's along the top of the rear cover also

You'll find x9 7mm screws for the inner fender liners, all in plain sight, one up front facing upwards into the rocker, 4 in line out back on the lower valance, remove that 'base' fender liner out of there, the brake duct will stay with the liner

Unplug that rear marker light

Ok, now you can see the 5 fasteners securing the quarter to the rear cover,
1. Remove OUTER taillights, this allows the x2 forward facing 8mm bolts to be easily removed
2. now facing aft going inside the fender well, you'll see the x2 10mm nuts
3. Lower attach point is a 10mm bolt/nut(5th and final at this seem)
4. x2 10mm bolts attach the 'body seam plate' to the bathtub

Removal of OEM panels, this is where you will want some help

1. With someone pulling aft on the rear cover, you'll be able to pull the bottom of the quarter out and up, NOTING the fitment UNDER the door seal and HALO area upon removal
2. place 'base' quarter away from WB project, note how anemic it looks compared to the aggressive flanks of the ZR1/Z06/GS piece

INSTALL, reverse process, I always install everything 'loose', being sure to align front/top/aft gaps

QUESTIONS???? POST or CALL, number is under avi

Wheels: CCW's wrapped in 325/30 Nitto INVO's, finish is very unique

Ride height? it will lower once driven, standard 'jacked' look

QUESTIONS?? don't hesitate to post or call, time involved will be about 3-5 hours depending on skill level

Hi steve,
I'm in southern rhode island and am thinking of using your services this coming winter with the rear widebody install. My vet is a black vert, what is the cost of this mod with the panels painted and installed?
Thanks

About 2k; I don't get involved with paint and/or body parts, I only do the installation of the panels(about 3 hours)

I have the owner go direct to www.gmpartshouse.com and use a local painter, I have a small group that does outstanding work

My core work is motor/drivetrain/suspension/brake upgrade and replacement, this(widebody) is just a skill I acquired for fun

The C6 HUD conversion has been a big hit lately, 26 cars so far this year
