Default changing spark plugs

I am not sure if the shields pull off with the plug wires iI have 50K now and figure its time for new plugs Tony

i went splitfire plugs and wires with the turbo mod. added like 300 rwhp

OK and plugs and wires contributed what 200/250 of that.

Well, the recommended change mileage for the plugs is 100k miles and the ones you have are as good as anything out there.

The shields do come off with the wires. You may have to slightly twist the boot to break the seal to the plug insulator, then pull straight out, sharply. Stock ac plugs are good, also NGK's run well. If you are doing any "tuning", concider going 1 heat range colder. Also concider a copper plug like the NGK TR6. Even though the stock plugs will run 100k miles, A fresh set at 50k isn't a bad idea. I changed mine at 30k.
