I am not sure if the shields pull off with the plug wires iI have 50K now and figure its time for new plugs Tony
The shields do come off with the wires. You may have to slightly twist the boot to break the seal to the plug insulator, then pull straight out, sharply. Stock ac plugs are good, also NGK's run well. If you are doing any "tuning", concider going 1 heat range colder. Also concider a copper plug like the NGK TR6. Even though the stock plugs will run 100k miles, A fresh set at 50k isn't a bad idea. I changed mine at 30k.
