Got the windows tinted - pics
I took the Z to get the windows tinted yesterday. I love it. I think I'll take the coupe next. The guy did a great job. He took a good 3.5 to 4 hours, making sure the rear window was laid down appropriately. It is one piece - no seam. I see a couple of bubbles on the back that I may need to get him to address but other than that, I really like the look. I added a few more pics while I was at it.
Sorry for the sun glare but we don't have clouds or rain down here in southeast Texas - just drought.
Whatcha' think?

Looks excellent, especially with the white exterior.

Melting Slicks
Looks great!
One question though: How did he get the tint to adhere to the front edge with all of the tiny dot shading? My tint guy couldn't get it to lay down. It has about three inches of front area that sticks to the dots. but not the glass. It looks somewhat aweful, but you can't see it unless your staring straight down onto the glass.
Can you show us a detailed pic of the front edge?

3M FX PM 35 and 20 on the doors/hatch window respectively. 35 is legal here in Texas.
This was one of the things we talked in length about. I knew it was a problem for many vette owners. This guy does allot of high end vehicles and has experience on the rear window. His main request is that you give him plenty of time to get the rear film laid down correctly. I was certainly happy to ablige. I'll try to take a picture from inside and post up.
Thanks everyone!
