LED reverse light comparison - PICS included
I had bought the '39 surface mounted' LED reverse lights from JW Motoring a while back and really liked the look compared to the OEM lights.
Then they came out with a 'Super Bright' version of the LED reverse lights.
I thought I would buy a set of them and try them out and compare the 2 types of LED reverse lights.
My conclusion is that I prefer the older SMD LED lights over the newer 'Super Bright' LEDs. The SMD version looks better IMO because it throws light all around against the reflective light housing. It's possible that the 'Super Bright' LED throw out a slightly more focused light for backing up but in my view it's not enough to offset the way it looks.
As you are looking at these photos, the '39 surface mounted' LED lights are on the right and the newer 'Super Bright' LED lights are on the left.
Here are some photos:

You have some nice, refreshing updates to your car. Love the LED tails and the LED reverse lights. Looks great. I'll do the reverse lights when I'm ready to drop the 300 on the tails.

Thanks!
The reverse LED lights are not very expensive at all and very easy to change if you can get your car up in the air on a lift. Just a few minutes to swap out.
You just have to get the polarity right for them to work.
