Default Controlled Burn-out with A6

Being new to Corvettes and the A6, how do you go about a burn-out? Thought I would wait until I have 10-12000 miles on my tires and give it a try...never tried it with the auto-trans

Hold down your front break and gun it with tcs off. When the wheels start to spin/smoke feather the throttle. I've never tried it in an auto but that seems to be the only at it will work.

The majority of your braking is done by the front brakes so if you get the rear tires spinning, you apply just enough pressure to lock the fronts but not the rears. It takes some practice but it's not all that hard to do.

Just hold the brake, give it gas until the tires start breaking loose and then release the brakes and off you go.

Its a selinoid that is installed on the brake line, when you press the brake down and flip a switch powering the selinoid you can then let off the brake and proceed to do your burnout. The line lock keeps the front brakes locked while having no pressure on the rear brakes. Much better for your rear brakes, not as good for your rear tires however

I believe you have a GS, so it must be a 2010+.

If you decide to get a line-lock, read this first: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...r-be-easy.html

Maybe this issue has been resolved for 2010+ line locks?
