When A/S Tires Aren't Enough...
Sometimes, you need a little extra help on the rear tires!

Jack and I both have Michelin A/S runflats for our C6's in winter, but we got to joking around about chains.
Here's a pic from the motel parking lot the next morning. Note the thickness of the snow on the car roof, which all accumulated overnight.
We were able to follow someone else's tracks part way out of the unplowed lot, but had to struggle the last 50 yards through undistrubed snow.
The car had Goodyear A/S runflats (out of production, I think) at that time. Later replaced by the Michelin A/S which are much quieter and slightly smoother but seem to do just as well in snow. But I haven't had to put the Michelins through this kind of test!

Yeah, looks like Denver area weather --- we get our weekly dose of snow and slush. Michelin AS ZPs are good up to splitter depth

Hardcore but I love it. Even if the picture is 'chopped!
These cars were meant to be driven. I drive mine every chance I get.. just drove it in the snow to 7-11 last week.. simply because I could. And I wanted to test just how grippy my Michelin AS+ were in that kind of weather!

Mine was rather dirty from last week's driving, so just finished giving it a bath, ready for tomorrow and Friday's snow. It will get another bath on Sun day (38 expected high and clear weather.).

We old farts from the north know what we're doing. Good grip from proper rear tires or chains is all it takes. That statement comes from 53 years experience in snow with RWD cars.
