Pic request - CRM w/ black chrome Z06 spyders
Have looked all over can't find a picture. I'm sold on the Z06 spyder wheels but need to pick chrome / black chrome / black.
Chrome is safe. Not sure I'd like black in person, but it does look mean. I think black chrome might offer the best of both for me. Please if you have this combo (or any black chrome wheels on your CRM) post them for me.
Thanks!

I had black chrome a few years back on my first c6 and although it looks incredible, it doesn't stand up to the elements very well. Scratches are much easier to get even with a simple wiping of a towel
Also, I don't know very many places you can actually purchase black chrome wheels. Normally, you have to purchase the wheel you want, then send it away to be black-chromed.
Hope this helps

"In honor of jpee"
might be a little more "delicate" than powder coating, but then, what isn't? as to who and where, there are many places and methods of "black chrome." mine were done at California Chrome Wheels. (calchrome.com--oe "gumby"). talk to John, the owner, if you want them done.

Oh man yah that's it. Problem now is the common vendors are all saying the same thing - they won't touch black chrome because it's too troublesome.
What's the scoop wombats? Did you have yours done?

When I bought my wheels I heard there were issues with the black chroming process. Mine looked great when they arrived and I have had no problems. They clean up like any other chrome wheel.
However if I ever curb or scratch one, I would imagine it would be very difficult to repair or replace.
They do look darker, but they shine like chrome. Depends on the lighting.
