I would highly recommend 6000K.
I believe the stocks are 4600K. They pick that for a reason. At that color temperature is around the highest visible light output you can get for a given wattage. It does, however, have a bit of a yellowness that some people don't like (me included).
6000K gets rid of the yellowness without sacrificing too much light output. Once you get up to 8000K not only is the light noticeably blue but it is also not putting out the same amount of visible light as a comparable 4600K or 6000K bulb.
Only go with 8000K if you love blue and don't care at all about light output.

Thanks, I was on youtube and I notice the was no difference between the two. Does different bulbs such as Phillips or a generic brand make a difference?

6000K low beams and 8000K fogs on my previous Z06.
Personally, I won't do that again on the ZR1. There was simply too much effective light output that was lost.
