You lift the rear and slide the front part back and out.

It snaps into place. Pull up on the end closest to you and the rear of the car. Since it's new, you may have to tug pretty hard.

If in doubt, take it to the dealer. Have their representative observe as you remove the top from it's stow position. If something breaks they will be able to document the warranty claim.

Just give it a really hard pull directly up from the back and it will release. My 2007 would release really easy, you could use like 3 fingers from anywhere along the back, my 2010 need two hands and a really hard pull to release and my 2011 is somewhere in between like I can use one hand but with a really hard pull...

Just show it who's boss.....LOL

It won't be bolted down. There are two pins that clip in to receivers on the rear of the compartment near the hatch latch about half way across each side. You need to firmly pull up towards the hatch. Once out of the two clips in the back, then the top slides out from the front latch receivers on each wheel well.

Mine is very tight sometimes as well. I found that occasionally I'll have to do a little maneuver (that I probably can't explain here but I'll try) where I reach in the trunk, fingertips on the receiver plastic piece on the rear wall, and elbow wedged up against wheel well (arm is kinda/sorta under the targa top). With my elbow against the wheel well, I have plenty of leverage to push the receiver piece hard enough to flex the back wall of the trunk a bit...and with a slight lift, that corner will lift right out. Of course it usually pops back in when I move on to do the same on the other side, so it's a little bit frustrating at times.

Make sure it's not hung up on the storage netting if it is installed. Mine would get hung up on the net so I took it off!

How is it that a dealer delivers a car to a customer and doesn't show them how to operate their new Corvette?

It's glued in at the dealer, so it doesn'y fly out if you forget to latch the rear decklid.
