Rear bumper lettering
I'm thinking of installing some black lettering on the rear bumper of my Blade Silver. Just wondering what the general consensus is on that mod, and if anyone has any pictures of it?
Thanks

I have the same color as you, coupe though.
I was gonna try to paint mine cyber gray to match the fender stripes somehow... Just haven't figured out how yet...
There is a DIY for painting them in the big DIY thread though...

I did the DIY black paint on my machine silver. Just follow the directions. Over a year later and many washes, a couple of clays and 4 or 5 waxes it is as good as when new.
The car should have come from the factory like this.

I love this mod too and I think it's a nice subtle addition to the car. I have done it to my last two Vettes and used the vinyl lettering both times. You need a lot of patience with the vinyl but if you take your time it comes out great. These letters on my GS I got on ebay from some guy in Canada for $12 shipped and they are great and holding up fine.

I had black on my Quicksilver Z, went red this time around.

I had the stainless steel stick ons. They did last. The letters actually pulled away from the adhesive. Eventually I snagged a towel on a corner and that was all she wrote. I replaced it with the chrome look vinyl letters. The fit better and so far so good.
I like the way the letters offet the rear end. I have the chrome on JSB.

They should come from the factory with either paint or the SS. Bumper looks so bland without it. I also have the laser cut red acrylic lettering on the dash letters. Definitely makes it stand out.

I've always thought that area should be colored different than the body color. It should either not be there at all or colored. I don't know maybe they figured it was a subtle way to write corvette another place on the car.
