Default Steering wheel emblem

anyone change the emblem on the steering wheel
has tabs on the emblem ..
plan on cutting the tabs off w/ dremel and glueing the new one over the old scratched unit..( changed seats and buggered it)

I dented mine a few years ago hitting the horn ... picked up a used emblem from a junk yard, cut the tabs off, and double-stick taped it in place ... looks perfect. So your idea will work ... the hard part is finding an emblem (it is not a serviceable part from GM)

found on ebay $50.. dealer $1100 includes air bag
dealer did the damage.. but have a good relationship w/ them and said they owe me

I got mine with a custom yellow border from Apsis (along with the AB cover). It's just double-taped on, as is the cover.

I have a dent in mine. I'll have to follow some of the ideas here for a cover/replacement!

Mine came from a junk dealer that is (used to be) a supporting vendor here ... cost me $10 shipped.

You have to remove the airbag cover to get in there to remove it (poke the 2 small holes under the steering wheel, after disconnecting the batt (do a search, there are step-by-steps posted) ...
