Default Cleaning the clear plastic dash shield

What is the best product to use to clean the clear plastic dash shield that protects the gauges. All the vehicles I have eventually get swirl marks from removing the dust particles on the surface. Any suggestions?

What has worked for me over the last 10 years:

Blow off the dust using an air compressor or canned air.
If you use the canned stuff, bend the little tube instead of tilting the can- otherwise you can get a blast of superfrozen liquid that might damage the plastic.
If you use a compressor, be gentle. You're trying to remove the dust, not blast it into the plastic.

Then use a soft 100% cotton towel, and some "GM Glass Cleaner" (white foamy stuff), which is approved for plastics. Spray it into the towel and then wipe gently. Many normal window cleaners like Windex or Invisible Glass, can damage the plastic immediately or slowly.

i use zaino's blond towels and dust lightly, then add a film of his Clear Seal on it... helps protect and cuts down on static cling.

Do not use ANY kind of cleaner or solvent on it other than mild soap and water. Those cleaning agents leave a film that will just attract more junk in teh air. Soft tissue with diluted mild soapy water and a clear rince and buff will do. Any SOFT tissue. And don't use a kleanex like Puffs with facial oils in it.
