2012 Seats
I picked up my 2012 GS on 10/10/11 and had a 7.5 hour drive home. IMO the seats are far more comfortable when compared to those in my 2009 Z06.
Several days later, my wife and I drove to Ocean City, MD for the Corvette weekend. Due to traffic the trip was 4.5 hours and my wife commented upon our arrival that the car was extremely comfortable. At least its unanimous in my family that the seats are an improvement when compared to the previous Corvettes we have owned.

The seats may not have the support and stability required for road racing, but I did not buy the car to track it. I enjoy taking long drives and the seats are such an improvment over the Corvettes previously owned.

I will say the perforated seats are not worth having to spend the $3K for the 3LT
in the old 2LT they were worth the $1K difference for lumbar/perforation

Have a problem with driver side door lock not opening with button but works from outside pad. 2009 conv. Passenger side works fine. Any ideas before I go to the dealer? Thanks

I'm not sure how this relates to the seats, but have you read page 2-10 in the owner's manual?

Then just spend the $1K for the Heritage Package. Then you'll get the alacantra inserts. You can order the Heritage Package on 2LT, 3LT, or 4LT trim levels.

I spent 4 ½ hours in the new seat driving my car back to NY from PA and I do like the Alcantara better than the perforated leather in my ’09, but overall, I don’t feel a significant difference in the structure of seat itself.
