Is Cyber Gray done after 2012?
Looks like it.
Camaro has Cyber Gray for 2012 but for 2013 the ZL1 is being offered in Ashen Gray.

From the website: "Also announced today is the Camaro's new gray color, to replace our old favorite Cyber Gray. The new color is called Ashen Gray, and can be seen on these new pictures of the ZL1 convertible!"

Jeeeze ... could that front end get any fatter!
Aerodynamically, with that much frontal surface area, it's gotta be like pushing a barn door through the air!

Don't know the answer to query on whether Cyber Gray is done, but the new gray looks very similar to me. Perhaps slightly lighter, but without a side by side I'd be hard pressed to tell them apart. GM has had other grays on other car models in recent years, so its very hard to guess whether CG might be done. As much as I like CG, it my opinion that Corvette runs colors for too long. I'd much prefer more frequent changes in the color palate. A lot of good colors never make to the vette.

Cyber Gray Corvettes, both new and used, have been sitting in dealers Inventories around here for some time now. It just does not seen to sell very well around here anyway. As I look at the front of the new Camaro, Chevrolet still has the Bowtie in the middle. On the SS I have seen Aftermarket kits where the Bowtie has been replaced by a large SS. I like the SS as the Center Piece of the Grill a lot better. I am guessing the ZL1 will look better if it were the Center Piece also.

As far as I know they had problems getting the flakes for the paint. The company that makes the paint is from Germany but they get the flakes done in Japan. Right after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan they were in short supply, so maybe GM thinks is not worth it and they will just get some other shade of metallic gray done somewhere else.

Unforunately, GM uses the same colors across their model lineup, they just use different names. For example, Supersonic Blue on the Corvette is also available on the Equinox as Twilight Blue Metallic. The Machine Silver Metallic on my '06 Z06 was also available on Tahoes, Buicks, Saturns, etc. as Light Tarnished Silver Metallic. Go figure.
