I would imagine that would be the case in highly populated cities.
Although just last friday night, I had 2 different sets of people taking pics of my GS, while I was downtown Mpls.
Happens more often in the suburbs.

For my car it's more about the color. Not too many JSB are in this area so most think its a custom color.

I do...me and my wife were having lunch and this little place and a man parks in the 20 minute spot...his son jumps out of the car, walks around my car like 3 times...returns to his dads car and comes back with a cell phone and takes pictures from every angle, was fun to watch him.

This was at a cruise-in and that's something people do at cruise-ins but I was standing across from my car and I saw someone taking a picture of it. I thought it was cool, it was not long after I first got it, so I snapped a picture of him snapping a pic of my car.

When i bring the car to the local valet on the beach, many people stop and take pictures of the car, and with the car. Another time I just rolled into the dealership to see if they had a part. Came out and many people were standing around it taking pictures.

Vettes are pretty common sight here in Upstate NY, the only picture taken of my Vette is from the red light cameras.

Happened just today. We were having lunch at a park and I see a car pull up near my car and stop. He then started to drive away but circled back around and came back and took a picture.

Did they get any pictures of the people who popped your hood and stole your battery?

There is this guy at my gym I have known for a few years who is getting ready to start competing in body building. He asked me the other day if it was ok for him to take a few pictures by my car for his portfolio. I said sure, as long as he doesn't lean or sit on it. At least he asked first, might have been a little odd to see him out there shooting pictures without knowing what was up.

Today, I was vacuuming out my car at the car wash and the 6 year old kid in the car next to me asked his mom if they could wash my car next. LOL, very cute.

The other funny thing was a few weeks back my car was parked out front of my bank which has floor to ceiling glass doors at the main entrance. While in the lobby making out a deposit slip at the desk near the front entrance, I noticed two cute girls walk out and one of them heads straight to my driver's side car door as if she was getting in. She saw a couple of other friends pulling into the parking lot at the same time and was playing.

Never, out here in Silicon Valley, the Vette is as common as a Camry. People don't even take pictures of Bentley's Aston Martins, or Ferrari's. No big deal at all
