People photographing my car

Burning Brakes
It happened about two weeks ago, parked at a Chinese restaurant, a bus load of folks were in there...came out and they were lining up one by one taking pictures next to the car. I just watched until they were done and left, my friend that was with me says he never saw the like, said it happens every once an awhile more so with sports cars.

Go Canes!
Usually tourists take pictures of my car. Once, I parked my car in front of a hospital in Miami. A couple of tourists wre taking a picture of daughter next to my car. I came over and took the top down and let her sit in it while they took her picture. It felt cool!

It hasn't happened for me in a few years but back in '05 shortly after I bought it, my wife and I were at a gas station in WV and as I was coming out of the store, a kid asked if he could take some pictures of it so I said sure. Then he proceeds to take about 20 pictures with his cell phone and thanked me.

I live close to the land of UG Racing, so it's not all that uncommon to see a TT Gallardo,FGT,Viper, and even a 458 Italia.....and those things are downright nasty.
So no,I can't recall a single incident of someone taking a pic of my Corvette.

Nothing inflates your ego more than doing the NCM delivery and some hot chick who paid to get in to the museum is taking pictures of your car.

I've had my car for almost five years now and as of recently I am noticing lots of people still photographing my car - could be at a red light, in a parking lot, outside a store. Makes me feel good that even after such a long time it still gets appreciated.
Do others have the same experience?

I have about the plainest C6 one can own and it gets photographed fairly often.
Seems as if the photographer is most always a young, male Japanese tourist.
Frequent sites for picture snapping include tourist-heavy areas, such as Waikiki (if our for dinner), close to the beach, or at the airport.
Hawaii has the fewest number of Vettes of all the states.

Where I live, no one cares as one poster put it, its that same as taking a picture of a Minivan. Where my detailing shop is located, the Vette is a pauper's car. Bentley's, Aston 's, Jag's XK's, Ferrari's, R8's, Lambo's are common place on the weekends.
However, once in Yosemite we were parked at the store in a place called Toulumne Meadows. We were getting a burger after a 3 day backpacking trip and sitting by the car.(we take lightweight chairs with us backpacking ) I parked the car at the side of the lot so I wouldn't have to deal with rubes bashing my doors, and a Japanese tourist bus pulled in behind me. Man, 50 people taking pics of my car with the mountains of the high country in the background. A couple if interpreters, came over and started talking to us, and quite a crowd gathered, especially when I opened the hood. I didn't think I would ever be able to leave

Caught the guy in the pic in the act. The other day two teenage girls walked by the car as I was returning to it after an errand and heard them drouling over it. Nice

Funny thing happened today. I stopped by the local Jeep dealership to see if they had the new SRT-8 in and two of the salespeople ran outside and starting taking pics of my car.
