NPP Exhaust on a 2012 GS...Worth the Cost?

As has been mentioned, my fuse sits in my center console. Does not sound as good as aftermarket systems, but it came with the car, doesn't sound bad, and I like the flexibility to quiet it if needed.

The NPP is the best exhaust option. Don't even waste your money on a aftermarket exhaust that will just wind up being too loud and drone. Two friends had corsa on their cars and now they both have the NPP. I don't use the M2W switch because I just leave it open all the time and the fuse sits in the center console.

Just got my 2012...with NPP...and it sounds super!...
I added my own version of the Mild to Wild wireless remote....(cost me about $20!)...and ride with it open 90% of the time....

Devils advocate here... I really wanted the NPP in mine but I didn't end up getting it. I bought my '11 JSB GS after the Earthquake/Tsunami in Japan when the JSB was hard to find and couldn't be ordered. I wanted a very specific color and option combo and the only dealer within 500 miles of me that had the car was in Vermont. The only catch was that it didn't have the NPP. After some back and forth in my head I bought the car anyway because I can always add an aftermarket exhaust but honestly the car still sounds great with the standard exhaust. The NPP would be nice but I don't miss it. I will say that whenever I'm out with a buddy that has the NPP, I do get exhaust envy when those flaps open but for the most part I'm fine without it.

I purchased a 2012 GS TR 3lt package. I don't think I have it but it sounds great around 3000 rpm. Can I have npp installed after? What does it look like? Nothing in the manual about it. Forgive my nativity. Bill in San Diego.

If you're getting a convertible, just pull the fuse and it will be open all the time.I have heard on this site that there is a drone in the coupe but not so much in the convertible if any .I pulled the fuse even before my test drive at the dealer and they were shocked at how good it sounds.I haven't had the fuse back in since I bought it .

I will the the devil's advocate and say NO. For at or near that cost, I prefer to install an aftermarket cat-back that will sound a lot better, tips look way better, and is lighter to boot. Sure you do not have the dual mode option, but a Corvette is meant to be heard, and not to sound like a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry
