Installed stock NAV how does HUD integration work
So I got a great deal on a used NAV from a 2008 and installed it into my 07 Z06. The car is a 2LZ with Bose so the steering wheel controls are all good. Just had it unlocked from dealer everything is fine. I thought there was a HUD integration where the NAV was displayed if you were routing somewhere for turn by turn. I have the HUD in street mode as I thought I read that was needed. Was there some programming that the dealer needed to do? Everything else is fine.

On our 2006 and now our 2009, the HUD would display turn instructions if:
In Street mode
and
An active route being followed
You must be approaching (1/2 mile in city or 2 miles on interstate) before the turn instructions will appear. Good luck with yours.

I thought it was something liek that. Do you have to be in the dual screen mode I saw instructions for the conversion and he had a pick of the HUB and his NAV was in split screen

does your car harness have a plug in, into the black port on the back of radio?

That is correct you must have an active route set for it to show in HUD and it doesn't matter what display mode is set on the head unit itself.

The split-screen display only appears on the nav screen itself, not on the HUD. IIRC, you can program your nav to use split screen or not; but that has no effect on the HUD.
