Default Z06 owners...auto or manual

Okay, I confess, my Z06 has a standard transmission. Who has an automatic transmission in their Z06?

There are a few folks that have done this conversion.

Would make for a nice quarter-mile set up.

Assuming that's a serious question, you do know that the Z's only come with an M6? Or am I mistaken in that?

Looks like this thread isn't going to get the traction that the OP was hoping for.

Actually, it kind of solves the whole debate if you think about it!
Also, who the hell would convert a Z06 to an automatic anyway?

Why does anyone modify anything? Because they can. I'll bet there are a couple of Auto Z06's out there. Just like I know there are a couple of right hand drive Z06's out there.

If it were a choice I would pick the auto in 2011. The 60's thru the 90's it would be the manual. However, the new automatic are incredible. Just ask a CTS-V owner with one.

They are all 6 speeds. Those that aren't were converted to automatics.

For the purpose of hard core drag racing there are probably many...or for the very few that have money to burn such as Rick Hendrick.

Someone who wants a Z or ZR1 for that matter, but does not have the capability of using their left foot (and has a lot of extra cash for the conversion).

Before I broke my foot this summer I never thought about an auto. After two months in a cast I realized that some people my not have a choice. Thank God I was back to rowing thru those gears after two months.
