The mfg devised a special adapter plate that allows for the necessary clearance.

are you making the gs/z06 brackets available? I have 2 kits sitting on the shelf that I never installed. My buddy did it to his z06 and it came out good but he fab'd a bracket and cut the factory spoiler for the track to protrude through. thanks!

(I'd love to see install pics too!)

I will ask the mfg for some pics. The brace comes with the kit, they aren't sold separately.

I installed it myself, was pretty simple to do other than needing to be a 3' tall double-jointed monkey to get to anything under that car. I went out and bought Race Ramps the day after installing this plate holder! A day late I guess, but never again I said as I cussed in about 10 languages that I didn't even know I knew, rolling around on the cement garage floor trying to get to the bolts.

Also, the $129 is a great price, I paid $159 when I bought mine back in October from a different vendor!

They sit high up on your bumper. If its hitting driveways and curbs you're probably about to loose your bumper!

Actually, if you have a GS version, it sits well below the bumper and if you are in danger of hitting the front spoiler the bracket sits below that spoiler. I've had mine on since October and I haven't had a problem, but I've also only put about 400 miles on the car since I installed it. My biggest complaint is that when the car is in the garage (which is a tight fit), I actually trip over the plate on a regular basis on the way to my DD - but I have big feet and I trip over a lot of things LOL

Here's couple of photos of it installed on a GS - in the up, 1/2 retracted and fully retracted positions.

Oh - and I'm about to install a curb alert system in hopes of preventing any damage to said spoiler or plate.
