Wow! Did you ever count up your mods?
Just up-dated and counted the number of mods I've made to my '09 C6 coupe ... they come to 43. Since the average mod cost well over $100.00, I've spent a bit upgrading its appearance, comfort, utility and performance (virtually all a result of monitoring the Corvette Forum), but feel it was money well spent. How about you?

I started too and ...
I even began to total my receipts....then I came to my senses! Another valuable piece of advice - never tell the wife how much you think you have spent either - trust me! This car was born as a 2007 Coupe...

Exactly one, and it cost $24.....I bought a Z06 air box to replace the one that came on my GS.....No performance improvement, but it looks and sounds better than the OE air box, since it doesnt have that big resonator.

About $3000 in wheels and small things on car and a good $2000 worth of engine mods waiting to go on sitting on shelves in the garage....I just havent really decided if I want to change my perfectly stock engine.

I've only spent about $1500 on appearance mods. The only thing I will do next is get some new wheels and I'm done. As far as performance mods I'm happy with the way it is from the factory so I won't be doing any. Mods is a pretty bottomless pit and I've told myself I'm not going to go crazy like I've done in the past.

Only splash guards, floor mats and exhaust plate so far for my new one. I was able to keep transparent roof, Vette bin, cargo mat, battery tender,Top Flight license plate bracket, and car cover from the 05 to use on the 11.

It only takes two things in hobbies, cars included. Time and Money. Knew I was gonna mod when I bought it. Got a folder getting thicker with receipts for the next owner, if there is one. I don't care to open it unless it's to add more receipts. I'm way too happy with the C6 as it is now and looking forward to some more mods.

Not a lot of details needed, unless you like to type. We'll bug you if we need more info.

To me it makes no difference. I mod my cars and dont look back. Cars/bikes and "modding them" are a passion of mine. If it brought/brings you enjoyment without placing financial hardships (which you obviously need to consider before doing so) on your life - why let it bother you. Further the only return you should be looking for when you do mod, is the pleasure it will bring you, if it has done that, you can look at it like it was a wise investment (not much different from buying a car especially like a vette in the 1st place). Some people smoke-some drink-some put their $ up their nose, others mod vettes. For those that say there is no need to mod, others can say to u there really is no need for a vette. MOD AWAY!!!

I refuse to total it. If I wanted to count, I probably wouldn't have done the mods in the first place, I don't want to know. I also have horses and that's another not-so-cheap hobby. My husband asked me last week what I was paying a month for training over the winter. I looked him in the eye and with a smirk said "do you really want to know?" he thought for just a second and said "no!" We're on a strict don't ask, don't tell policy around here. As long as I'm earning my own money, the bills get paid with plenty left over, then I'm not going to count and he's not going to ask.
