Not so much stretch the leather but fills it out. The stock seat cushion foam slides down over the seat frame and the high density foam fills the gap that it slides into so the seat cushion goes back to where it is supposed to be. The jute filler pushes the center foam upwards which reduces the feeling of riding on a rock when the seat is lowered all the way and the memory module pushes on the bottom of the seat. Overall, a good way to fix the problems with the stock foam and seat design.

He is correct. You're basically adding support. The seats will look like they came from the factory once done.

Unbolt the seat which is only 4 bolts. There are a few connectors under the seat. Those come out super easy. 15 mins max on those.
From there it's just removing the seat cushion which is held on by a string and hog rings. Super easy.
We include directions with them. I don't have an online version or I would post them.

I am getting ready to do the 2012 seat conversion in my 2010 coupe and now having seen both sets of foam and with the seat frame is the same, I am betting the 2012 seats will over time have the same issues. So it would seem that the same high-density foam in the places highlighted by JW in his post and jute backing would work on the 2012 seats and probably firm them up a bit also.
Just my 2cents worth...

1.5 hours is about how long it took. It came out well but I have 2 questions. Someone obviously took the seat apart before because the hogrings had been bent and reused (the car only has 12,000 miles). They put an extra piece of soft foam on top of the seat frame wires and under the factory foam. I used the jute pad and left the the added soft foam out. Do you agree with this?
Also, I could not figure out where the 2 corner pieces attached with the hogrings/zipties during reassembly. I did reattach the rear flap but not the corners. It seems okay. Is this allright? If not can you describe what those corners attach to?

I figured out my mistake on the second part. I attached the back flap to the seat bottom before I velcroed the side flaps, which was the reverse order. I have since corrected it and everything went back together.
I am very happy with the kit and repair. Definitely recommend it!

Drifting
I've been lurking and thinking about the kit but don't know that I have a problem, but wanted to mention that I have noticed something recently.
My car in an 08 and is mainly a weekend driver (17,000 mi) and just in the last few months it seems my rear is sitting into a depression in the middle of the seat. I don't remember noticing this before and wanted ask if this was part of what happens when the seat starts breaking down.
you can either post here or pm
thanks

Melting Slicks
My car has only 17000 miles on it. I just did the repair this afternoon. The side foam gets cut on the seat frame due to no support under the side bolster. The bottom gets cut by the wire support grid under the seat. I used the nylon on the foam, and the jute over the wire grid. I did add some 1/2" foam to the outside of my bolster to help fill out the wrinkles in the cover. Took me about an hour. Seat looks and feels great!

Did mine ,took a little longer than I thought, just being careful I guess about 2 hours. The only question I have is about the string and the knot. I didn't seem to have as much string or slack when I reinstalled the seat cover.
Is this normal since there is more foam now? By the way I have an 06 with less then 10,000 miles and the foam was breaking down already. Nice kit thanks!!
