I had a Kenwood DNX on my old ride. Although that was the first radio to feature swipe technology, it was really really show. I cannot count how many times the unit crashed. Im waiting for the new Alpine Units to come out. It is going to be an 8 inch double din touch screen. http://www.alpine-usa.com/feeds/promo/2012CES/

I just finally got my old DNX5120 in my car this afternoon...
This old-tech unit is still running strong. I would not hesitate to buy another Kenwood. I absolutely love their stuff. The Garmin Navigation is the cat's a$$.
Also... for anyone "on the fence" about doing a self-install... Dennis makes it pretty easy with his mounting kits and adapter harness. The radio screws right into place exactly as the old one did. It looks like a factory installation. The entire project took me exactly 3hrs to do, start to finish... and I was taking my time.

Any chance of seeing/developing a matrix that shows the additional features on the next higher level double din? In other words, all double dins shown with the features side by side?
I hope this is not a stupid request, but it would be helpful to me.

Pioneer last told me they are not releasing them till around April.
So as soon as I get shipping info it will be made available to you guys for preorders as well
Also
just an FYI
there is a new harness option coming from KEnwood around June that will be the best one available. Kenwood exclusive and will allow you to retain all stock features. Possibly even turn by turn in the HUD.

I like where Pioneer was going with the 130BT & AppRadio.. but realistically speaking the only reason I became a fan was because the Kenwood solution was reviewed as slow and not as elegant. Looks like Kenwood has stepped up big to address that concern with the new, faster processor and iPhone control.. and Im very interested in hearing more about this new harness and how much information it will show on the HUD!!
Def keep the updates coming on this one.

Just ordered a 7190HD!
I will be interested in the new harness when it is released, the radio is so easy to get in and out that I will not let it be an issue for me, plus with the extra savings that you are offering before 1/25, I suspect it will cover the cost of the new harness when it is available!
Thanks Dennis!

If I choose to install one of these units into my 2010 'Z....do I need to change anything else? Speakers? Adding amp? Sub?
Not to familiar anymore with the current set-up(s) being offered. I know I am UN-happy with the current sound. I have the factory Bose/Nav unit currently....it sucs....
I have read that unplugging the center speaker in the dash will improve the sound quality. I cannot find a fastener or screw(s) to get the grill off....afraid I'll break it if I pry it. Anyway, I have always liked Kenwood home stereo products. Had a couple of their set-ups in the past. They were very 'hardy' units.
Anyway, pls let me know what else I would need to change out in addition to the head unit. I know speakers are key. And the power units which drive them as well. Thanks.
Tim (send me a P.M. if you want)
