This is what happens when you have a model that goes on for 8-9 years with no real refresh. You have to keep bringing out special versions to keep the public interested. I'm no Corvette expert, but I am an enthusiast.. and I remember both the C3 and C4 getting a mid cycle refresh. That included both interior & exterior on the C4, and I believed it happened on the C3. Not so sure on the C5.

Yes the GS and ZR1 are "new" models. But realistically they are essentially regular coupes with more options checked off. I understand GM has had its back to the wall this generation and fought its way out of bankruptcy.. but it will be nice to see the C7 in person and finally enjoy a real update to this 8 year old platform.

At least the C6 will only be 9 years (2005-2013) compared to the C3 and C4.

It's great that GM keeps the Corvette exciting with new editions. I'm sure they will "evolve" the C7 in the same way. Keeps it fun.

Ha! That's a good one. Same here - 1SB, Z51, MZ6, Nav, polished wheels, XM. We were Kings of the Hill until the 2006 Z06 came out!
