Just had to share some pics of the new 60th at the Scottsdale auction. First time here in person....everyone needs to put this one on their bucket list.

They also put 2012 on it. Too bad it did not have the blue interior.

I am soooo underwhelmed by the "60th".

I get the 427 Vert angle and am very happy for Vert fans who are finally getting their wish but as a 60th? WTF? Artic white..ok, that color has been in production for how long??? Add some blue/grey stripes (crap not even a ghost Jake etc)....what in heck is so unique to make it a 60th edition?

I simply do not get it....now a 1 yr run of metallic white such as the Z06X had that would have been special...or maybe a Torch Red interior (never done on a C6) with the Metallic white exterior...thus one yr only interior and exterior...and what in heck does white/blue interior have to do with corvette history in terms of 60 yrs....they already ran the 1 off white/blue stripe Z06 to honor the first run at Lemans....I am simply at a loss over this other then the "design a 60th anniversary car with no budget, just slap something together".

I believe it has a blue interior. It is a very dark blue with a grayish tint. Compare the center arm rest with the ebony center console and the ebony carpet. You can also see the same difference in the seat covers where they are touching the console and carpeting. Also compare the top of the drivers door panel to the black rubber window seal.

Yeah, it seems at this point GM only cares to mix and match Corvette parts and rebadge. I guess they're just saving money since the C6 production is winding down. If that's all they were gonna do, they shoulda just let the 427 stay exclusive to the Z06.

Looks like an aftermarket mod project. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it just doesn't look like a factory car.

I don't think I could buy the 60th Anniversary package just because the emblems look so stupid (the ones on the fenders and head rests).

Thanks for posting the pics, but I have a question. Is the interior really dark blue? It looks black in all the pics I've seen. BTW, I agree with a post above. It should have had a red interior. It's a great combination, and more fitting in that in 1953 white with red interior is the only way you could by a Corvette. It also needs red calipers.

Wondering if this is considered a 2012 one-off. Unless I forgot my digits, the Vin actually indicates a 2011 LS3, so who knows what this gets titles as, although the 60th anniversary would make us think it is a '13 like the rest.

It's possible that it's just a prototype, and the at the winning bidder will actually get one off the assembly line when they begin building true production 2013's.

BTW, in looking at the pics again, if you look at the shot into the interior you can see that the console lid is a different color than the surrounding plastic. I'm assuming it's a very dark blue that just doesn't photograph well.

Default Some more pics of the Auction

Here's the link to the rest of my auction pics. The '55 Chevy with the V12 Merlin is something to see up close. The owner, "Charlie" gave me a personal tour around the car. Lots of other toys I wish I could afford too.

Maybe they spelled it correctly.

Google "dirve"... the Urban Dictionary has an, um, interesting definition.

That isn't the car, that is just a current car made up to look like it for the auction. Look at the size of those brakes......teeny weeny.
