Cherry Bomb mufflers
Just watching Gertz on speed and the reviewed Cherry Bomb mufflers. If you remember these were the thing back in the 60's . I went on line and they hve a system for C6 2005-2008 at hafe the cost of my B&B the (drone masters). Might be worth checking out some new systems on this forum other than B&B, fLow Masters & Corsa.

I remember the originals. Alot of the guys I knew would pour oil into them before install to burn the packing out of them as they heated up. I am sure it is a completely different design now.

I always went for Thrush's. You could get 'em for about $5 bucks a piece. Made my '67 Dodge Coronet sound BAD as that 318 wound up through the 3-speed 727 Torqueflight. If I could get a set on my c6, man, I'd be livin' the dream.

Back in 1968 I had a new Camaro that I put glass packs on. Everyone wanted the sound it had after that. My Brother-in-law had a 66 Vette, 427/435BPH, and he was always wanting to swap cars because of the sound. Had a mean back-fire rumble when you let off on the gas.
My sister's boyfriend was car guy. Had one something-or-other after another and he was alway drooling over my car. I would let him drive it once in a while.
My Dad bought two Mustangs trying to get something he thought was up to par with my Camaro. Never seemed to think he accomplished what he wanted, so later he bought a Vette.
Always wondered what glass packs would be like on a Vette.

I had headers and Cherry Bombs on a Charger a bunch of years ago. With the cam I had in it, it sounded like a WWII fighter at idle. When I stomped it, it was viciously loud.

Cherry Bombs?? Had a pair directly off the headers on my '69 roadster, hung directly under the driver & passenger seats. Who needs a radio. Ahhh to be 18, again. No wonder my hearing today is suspect.
